1. Introduction

Spyca ("we", "us", "our") is a Solana-native social commentary platform operated by an individual based in the Netherlands. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using Spyca you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Who we are

Spyca is operated by an individual based in the Netherlands. For all privacy related matters you can contact us at:
Email: solacecryptocurrency@gmail.com

As we are based in the Netherlands and process data of users in the European Union, GDPR applies to our processing activities.

3. What data we collect and why

3.1 Wallet address. When you connect your Solana wallet to Spyca, your public wallet address is collected and stored. This is the core identifier on Spyca, it functions as your profile and public identity on the platform. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), the processing is necessary to provide the core functionality of the platform.

3.2 Comments. When you post a comment on a wallet address profile or token community page, the content of that comment is stored alongside your wallet address and a timestamp. You may choose whether your wallet address is publicly displayed next to your comment or kept anonymous to other users. Regardless of your visibility choice your wallet address is always stored internally and linked to your comment for moderation and integrity purposes. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.3 Market Calls. When you post a market call, we store your wallet address, the token contract address, the token name, the marketcap at time of posting, your bullish or bearish stance, and a timestamp. We also periodically fetch and store the peak marketcap of the token since your call was posted using the DexScreener public API. This data is permanently and publicly associated with your wallet address. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.4 Votes and flags. When you upvote, downvote, or flag a comment or market call, your wallet address and the action taken are stored. Votes are not publicly visible by wallet address but are stored internally for integrity purposes. Flags are not publicly visible but are used for moderation purposes. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.5 Profile picture. If you choose to upload a profile picture to your wallet address profile, that image is stored in our Supabase storage and publicly displayed on your profile page. Uploading a profile picture is entirely optional. Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), you actively choose to upload this image.

3.6 Display name. If you choose to add a display name to your wallet address profile, that name is stored and publicly displayed on your profile page. Adding a display name is entirely optional. Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3.7 X handle. If you choose to link your X (Twitter) handle to your wallet address profile, that handle is stored and publicly displayed as a clickable link on your profile page. Linking your X handle is entirely optional. Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3.8 Technical data. Our hosting provider Vercel and our database provider Supabase may collect standard technical data including IP addresses and browser information as part of their standard infrastructure operations. This data is processed by Vercel and Supabase under their own privacy policies and is not directly accessed or used by Spyca beyond what is necessary to operate the platform. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Cookies

Spyca does not use tracking cookies or marketing cookies. Limited technical cookies may be set by our infrastructure providers Vercel and Supabase solely for the purpose of operating the platform. These cookies are strictly necessary and cannot be opted out of without ceasing to use the platform.

You should not post anything on Spyca that you do not wish to be permanently and publicly visible. Comments and market calls cannot be edited after posting. Comments may be deleted by their author but market calls are permanent public record by design.

6. Third party services

Spyca uses the following third party services to operate:
